Welcome to Empowered Through Yoga, where my intention is to move your pregnancy experience beyond symptom management and into a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
I believe every expectant person holds the innate wisdom needed for birth, and my goal is to equip you with the physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional resilience to embrace that power. What I strive to achieve is simple: to guide you in cultivating an unshakeable trust in your body, preparing you not just for a mindful delivery, but for confident, empowered motherhood.

My passion comes directly from my own journey. Being an immigrant during my first pregnancy with COVID lockdowns, and having little support in New Zealand, I faced immense stress, both mentally and physically. Yoga became my safe space - even online - allowing me to tap into my own inner power and feel capable and worthy of having a healthy pregnancy and birth. When I was pregnant with my second child and had just moved to Northland, joining an in-person prenatal class provided that vital community connection, helping me detach from previous trauma and embrace this second chapter with empowerment. Prenatal Yoga was not just about moving my body, it was about connecting with other people in a safe space.

This is why my focus is on creating a supportive environment where you can connect with other expectant parents, share your stories, and feel truly seen, heard and understood.

You can rest assured that you are in expert hands. I hold a Diploma in Yoga Teaching and a specialised certification in Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. My background is further solidified by a Degree in Human Movement Science and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching (specialising in Health and Wellness), giving me an understanding of the body's physiological needs during pregnancy.
